Speculations will now be allayed once and for all as the Nissan GT-R Spec-V is scheduled to be introduced tomorrow at the Tokyo Auto Salon. In the meantime, however, details keep coming in suggesting, among others, that its 3.8-liter V6 powerplant has received a 39 hp increase in potency which guarantees improved performance and a more dynamic car. Included in other details are CO2 emissions reaching 298 g/km (making the UK spec GT-R in the highest tax category) and a fuel economy of 15.4mpg in city driving, 31mpg outside the city and 22.8mpg for a combination of both. The arrival of GT-Rs in dealerships this coming March or April shows that setbacks in Nissan 370Z have not gone to other models, which is something to be glad about.
