There’s a reason why Audi has the four rings branding; it’s because the new Audi R18 is the Olympic Gold jackpot. This masterpiece had its unveiling at the Audi Training Centre Munich, where it was premiered at the Audi Sport Finale on Saturday.
In the DTM race, Audi has gone with tradition and kept the driver lineup as it was. The Audi R8 LMS is having its first full racing season in the GT event. One hundred and twenty five candidates have applied for the 20 available places in the Audi Sport TT Cup 2016.

In the DTM, Audi is not taking chances and is sticking to the model that they know works. Last year, the eight Audi drivers won 10 out of the 18 races, and so the same drivers are to remain on the team, with the only exception to be that of Adreien Tambay and Nico Muller who are changing teams.
The reasoning behind the swap is to put the youngest DTM drivers in, to inject energy, impulse and enthusiasm. The Audi Sports Team Abt Sports line will continue with eight Audi RS 5 DTM cars being driven by Phoenix and Rosberg.

Audi customer teams will be kept busy dominating across the world in 2016. Asia hosts the Audi R8 LMS Cup where the model will be revealed. Audi Sport customers will be keen not to miss the 24 hour races at Nurburgring and Spa, the FIA GT World Cup in Macau and the 12 hour race at Bathurst, Austria. The only challenge is in deciding which race to attend.
