Perky Jerky unveils Kimi Raikkonen’s Nascar race truck

Article by Christian A., on May 19, 2011

The excitement is high for former Formula One world champion Kimi Raikkonen’s NASCAR debut in the Camping World Truck Series race that will take place this weekend. As every detail is interesting, Perky Jerky has revealed the paint scheme of the truck that Raikkonen will be driving.

Raikkonen, who is also known as the Iceman, has founded ICE1RACING, which backs his World Rally Championship and motocross teams. Raikkonen, together with Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM), will be behind the wheel of the No. 15 Toyota Tundra in the event this weekend.

Raikkonen had completed his initial tests, having done more than 400 laps with his Toyota Tundra racer. Brian Levin, Perky Jerky founder and chairman, said that Perky Jerky may just be two years old but it has “one of the best race car drivers in the world” to stand for its brand in the nation’s greatest race series.

He added that they look forward to Raikkonen taking the win on Friday for Perky Jerky. Raikkonen will be driving the Perky Jerky Tundra truck in the 2011 N.C. Education lottery 200.

This is a Truck Series event set on May 20 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. From now on, Raikkonen's program in the Truck Series will be coordinated with his current commitment in the World Rally Championship.

The 2007 Formula 1 champion has made a commitment for a 10-round schedule in the 2011 WRC under the same ICE1 Racing competitor. They will be driving a Citroen DS3 WRC as they have participated in two races, Sweden and Portugal, since then.
