New Chevrolet Spark coming to Geneva

GM has established reports that its brand new Chevrolet Spark mini-car would be available for sale in the US by 2011 however details are scant besides the availability of one teaser photo. Today, however, GM released more photos of the Spark and announced that the car will debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month. The minicar, which will come in a 5-door configuration, will be offered as a global model and will substitute the Matiz.
Early next year the minicar will be available for sale I South Korea and Europe and will ultimately filter through other markets. At the opening of the Spark two powerplant options will be available: a 1.0-liter and 1.2-liter gasoline unit.
The Spark is supposed to have a fuel economy of 40mpg (5.88L/100km), although no independent tests have currently been performed.
