The French carmaker Citroen today celebrates its 90th year anniversary by strating a global brand venture that includes a new image, a new bond with its customers and a thrilling new range of cars. Citroen is initiating the move to overcome the current financial and economic atmosphere. The Brand is keen to pursue the enthusiasm produced by the successful launch of its products in the past decade by improving the Citroen name to toughen and supplement the range. Designed in collaboration by Citroen's Marketing and Styling arms, led by Jean-Pierre Plou, and the Landor agency (a global branding and design network), the Citroen logo is the first obvious indication of change. The standard chevrons have been set free from their frames and have received a three-dimensional form, giving it strength and body. Linking the past and the future of Citroen, the color red is utilized for the latest brand name, although it has a new and deeper shade.
