New Delhi Motor Show: Tata Aria Crossover unveiled

Tata Aria CrossoverThis is Tata Motors‘ most expensive model, the Aria crossover, unveiled at the New Delhi Motor Show. The Aria, which is built on an all-new platform, codenamed X2, is set to go on sale in India later this year. We saw our first glimpse of the Aria, which was revealed as a concept car at the Geneva Motor Show in 2005.

It has quite a high starting price at £12,000 but you’d come to understand when you take a look at its standard features, which include six airbags, stability control, a surround sound system, climate control, GPS and cruise control. Powering the Aria is a 137bhp 2.2-liter diesel engine with 236lb ft of torque. Four-wheel drive is also available as an option. With this vehicle, Tata combined the space of an MPV with the off-road ability of an SUV. Tata put the car through an extensive test process, including in Europe. So far, Tata has no immediate plans to sell the car outside of India.

  1. RB Dass Says:

Back lights too Low, as three wheelers and M/cycles bump into the rear lights, thus cracks.
It should be positioned higher. Look at the Innova, the same defect with majority having Left side
lights broken. Hope to have its altered.
