The all-new model year 2010 Mazda3 will make its official introduction to the world at this week's Los Angeles Auto Show, though the car isn't ready to go on sale until next year following the disclosure of the popular hatchback version. Even as images of the latest sedan have been available for more than a month, Mazda has at last offered more definitive details. The latest Mazda3 has already sold almost 1.8 million units in more than 100 countries since its launch in 2003 and has garnered in excess of 90 worldwide motoring awards currently.

Unsurprisingly, the Mazda3 constitutes almost one in three Mazdas sold, so the accomplishment of the new car is essential to the Japanese automaker. The latest Mazda3, also known as the Axela in the home market, is the first totally modified model of the car in five years and highlights a series of new and economical engines plus a more dynamic appearance that picks up the automaker's company face first observed on the 2009 Mazda6.
