Ready to reach showrooms in the last quarter of 2009, the latest supercar will be as advanced technologically as the Nissan GT-R. It will aim big-name opponents such as the Ferrari F430, Aston Martin V8 Vantage and Porsche 911 GT3. Where its precursor had only 280 hp from its 3.0-litre V6 engine, the latest model features a 5.5-litre V10 delivering up to 560 hp. This improved power is conveyed via a six-speed semi-auto box, with steering wheel-mounted paddleshifters. As a consequence, the vehicle has an acceleration rate of 0-60mph in less than four seconds and reaches a top speed of almost 200mph. Honda's Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system guarantees remarkable grip, while huge brakes round off the package. Inside is a comfortable two-seater cabin, entirely covered with soft leather. A price tag of around £100,000 ( $150,000 or €118,425 ) is most likely.
