New Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale to make UK debut at Salon Prive

The new Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale -- the fastest, lightest and most powerful car in the Maserati range -- will make its UK debut at this year’s Salon Prive event at Syon Park. This car, which gets inspiration from the GT4 motorsport models, balances on-road driving needs with race-driving desires. The 450hp MC Stradale actually offers 10 more horsepower than the GranTurismo S. This sportscar uses advanced electronics to reduce gear-shift times from the upgraded MC Race Shift electro-actuated transaxle gearbox to only 60 milliseconds.
As a result, the model can sprint from zero to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds. Salon Prive, which is now in its sixth consecutive year, is transferring to a new venue. This event features a larger Concours d’Elegance and a ‘Quintessentially English’ RM Auction. In the 2009 Salon Prive event, the new Jaguar XJ made its UK debut and the public got its first view of Aston Martin’s £1 million One-77.
The event was also picked to host Jaguar’s 75 year anniversary celebration. For 2011, the show will run from June 22 to 24, right in the middle of the UK summer season events calendar. This year, the event will be different as it has a better location, greater accessibility and adequate parking space. A ticket costs from £175 + VAT, which allows access to all areas as well as Pommery Champagne, Lobster Luncheon and afternoon teas.
