Mini Concept Teaser

MINI announced today a new design concept which will be unveiled on Thursday 23rd September. Although we don’t know for sure, looking at the teaser we might think that MINI will unveil a concept version of the upcoming MINI Countryman Coupe, a three-door version of the new crossover. It’s not a secret that MINI is considering a coupe version of the Countryman in order to take on the new Range Rover Evoque, as we reported it here.

The new concept is expected to carry the same 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine capable to deliver 120 ho, found also on the base MINI Cooper. MINI already confirmed that a more powerful version of the Contryman is on its way and it will carry the John Cooper Works badge. The concept could also be a sporty version of the Countryman which will preview the production version.

"Almost ten years to the day since the new MINI was first unveiled in Paris, you and your ‘owes you big time’ companion will get the opportunity to attend a global premiere of our newest design concept. The event will take place in central London and include a special guest star as well as Adrian van Hooydonk, BMW Group Head of Design who will unveil the new concept as part of an exclusive event during the London Design Festival. It’s so exclusive that we’ve only invited journalists and friends of MINI and you could be one of them!" saids MINI in an official statement.
