New Mitsubishi iMiEV Concept coming to the Geneva Motor Show

The Geneva Motor Show will witness the latest variant of the Mitsubishi iMiEV complete with stop-start technology and the latest clean diesel powerplant. Mitsubishi plans to announce also its intentions for hybrids, such as its latest version iMiEV Sport Concept which was initially show in the 2007 Tokyo Auto Salon. The original version had a 64 hp electric motor powering

the rear wheels while the front wheels were powered by in-wheel hub motors, each of which contributed a total of 27 hp and 125 Nm of torque bringing the overall total to 91 hp and a remarkable 430 Nm of torque.

The result is an outstanding sprint time and a 124-mile range on a single charge. Features and details are not yet available at this time, but it can be expected to come with the latest driving-adaptable transmissions, extra-efficient motors providing longer driving ranges, and the use of recyclable and more sustainable technologies and materials.
