The Vauxhall Insignia has come up with a new Ecoflex variant that comes with a 54.7mpg fuel consumption rating and a 136g/km carbon emissions number, placing it within 1g/km of the 1.7 liter diesel Astra just a class beneath.
The car comes with a mildly detuned variant of the 2.0 liter diesel that generates 158bhp, an acceleration rate of 0-62mph in 8.9 seconds and a speed of 135mph maximum. The Ecoflex Insignia is as aerodynamic as a Toyota Prius with its 10mm lowered ride height and a drag coefficient of 0.26, reduced from 0.27. For the Exclusiv trim, the pricing for the Ecoflex comes with a Ôø°475 premium over the standard 2.0 Exclusive and begins at Ôø°19,600. Photo gallery after the jump!
