Next Mercedes-Benz GLK will be available in right-hand drive

For those who don't know, the Mercedes-Benz GLK SUV is currently not available in the U.K. due to the fact that it can't be bought in right-hand drive. But things will change as the German manufacturer is planning to make the next-generation GLK available also in right-hand drive. These words came from Mercedes-Benz R&D boss Thomas Weber who added that it was a mistake not to make the vehicle for RHD markets. Apparently, the GLK was built in left-hand drive due to "the difficulties involved in fitting the right-hand drive steering mechanism around the propshafts taking drive to the front wheels."
