Nismo starts renting engine and transmission management software

Nismo, the racing and tuning branch of Nissan, will be launching an upgraded powerplant and transmission management software. It is worth noting that the company is renting the product. The ECU and TCM can be rented for two years for a price of 294,000 yen ($3,090) after which you have to return the products or pay an extra 31,500 yen ($330) yearly rent. The package is standalone and can be fitted to basically any any GT-R model including the SpecV. The benefits of the Nismo computer units include better low end torque, higher maximum boost pressure and better low-end boost response; in addition, they will also provide quicker downshifts and raise the speed limiter to 199mph (320km/h). These latest electronics upgrade package in combination with the Nismo's previous upgrades or even the regular Nissan upgrades revealed earlier today should bring sufficient energy and revitalization to the GT-R.
