Nissan EV Cube coming to 2008 Eco-Products Show

The largest eco-friendly products show of Japan, Eco-Products 2008, will be the initial public emergence of Nissan's latest test vehicle electric Cube; also present in the show will be the X-TRAIL Clean Diesel SUV. The show begins today until Saturday at the Big Sight in Tokyo. The EV-02 experimental vehicle, patterned on the regular Cube, utilizes batteries of lithium ion. The display of Nissan at the show will also provide an idea for "non-contact charging" of those cells. And as far as the clean diesel X-TRAIL is concerned, the SUV is already available for sale in Japan and Eco-Products guests will be encouraged to take it for a test drive. The other large display of Nissan will brag its CARWINGS Eco-Driving Service. In the process of development for almost two years now, CARWINGS is intended to apply real-time traffic info to its database of historical traffic information and provide the driver the most fuel-economical course to a chosen destination. Similar to many other systems, CARWINGS also offers advice on how to alter driving practices for lesser fuel consumption.
