The Nissan GT-R will be given another batch of updates to keep competitors from catching up with it. It already is one of the fastest cars so it's not like it needed the boost but Nissan isn't the type to rest on its laurels. British car site PistonHeads reported that it had visited Nissan's testing facility at the Nurburgring and has spoken to GT-R project chief Kazutoshi Mizuno. The planned updates include an upgraded suspension, rear diffuser and air intakes. The suspension tweaks are not radical; there are only slightly stiffer dampers and springs at the front and stiffer counterparts at the rear. To be placed on the flanks is a pair of NACA ducts, like those on the hood; while the rear diffuser from the exclusive SpecV model is to be adopted to the standard version as well. In addition, NISMO will be offering a new data system with a PC interface. It's interesting to note a few more details on the rumored SpecM model. When the luxurious GT-R shows up next year, it will feature extra equipment for a more exclusive feeling but will still have its supercar capabilities.
