Nissan has still to decide if will offer 370Z 40th Anniversary in the U.K.

Nissan 370Z 40th Anniversary

Even as deliveries of Nissan's special 40th Anniversary Edition of the 370Z are set to start early next year in Japan and the US, the carmaker has yet to decide if UK consumers will get the chance to own one as well. The sports car was launched on the eve of the Tokyo Motor Show in October to commemorate the Datsun 240Z, the first Z-car to go on sale in October 1969. The Nissan 370Z 40th Anniversary also commemorates the history of one of Japan's first sports cars.

In an interview with Autocar, a Nissan spokesman said that "something similar" might come out early next year. The new model gets the same 3.7-litre V6 as the standard car, mated to a manual gearbox. The special edition will also be equipped with the Sport Package, which consists of the clever SynchroRev Match system (a manual gearbox which blips the throttle automatically on downshifts), new front and rear spoilers, a limited-slip differential and upgraded Nissan Sport Brakes. The car will also be given 19-inch Rays forged alloy wheels, a '40th Quartz' exterior paint job and exclusive red leather interiors. In the US, the car will be priced from $38,860 (GBP23,845).
