According to the latest reports, it appears that Nissan is currently preparing an all-electric version of the Qazana Concept and the Nuvu electric mini which could go on sale in the next decade, more exactly by 2013. Currently, Nissan is also preparing to build seven lithium ion battery production lines around the world, each capable to deliver 50,000 batteries a year (these batteries will be also used for the brand new Nissan LEAF we showed you yesterday!). "The production version of the Nuvu is a certainty, although packaging the battery pack in such a small car is proving challenging. After that, a Qazana EV might make a lot of sense for us, especially if the standard car is well received." said the Nissan source. The official debut of the Qazana is expected to be made next year at the Geneva Motor Show together with the new Nissan Micra, which will be built in Chennai, India. Of course, this is not the first time we hear about the possibility of an electric SUV because, as you may know already, BestCar Magazine also showed us a rendering with the upcoming vehicle!
