The Japanese carmaker Nissan is expected to remove the wraps off of a new electric concept car that is almost ready for production this October at the Tokyo Motor Show this year. Production schedule for the model is early next year and will most probably be utilized as the starting basis of the hire deal of Europcar. It will be a brand new EV design and a NV200 van, which will be converted to electric power, will follow close behind, which is already available on the market. There are around five EVs Nissan is planning to bring to the market in the years following. The magnitude of the operation of Europcar is a critical ingredient to the plant of Renault-Nissan to provide affordable electric technology. The first to see this scheme come tofruition will be Australia, New Zealand and Western Europe. [via autocar]
