Nissan presents new driver-assist systems

Nissan Driver Assist

Traveling through curvy roads is now made safer by a technology being developed by Nissan's R&D. Nissan recently announced a "Distance Control Assist/Navigation-Cooperative Intelligent Pedal" and "Active Stability Assist" system. The Distance Control Assist/Navigation-Cooperative Intelligent Pedal works by utilizing real-time navigation information to help the driver decelerate or brake as the car enters a curve. The Active Stability Assist then follows ups by fine-tuning the vehicle's steering controls, deceleration and braking on curves depending on how hard the driver is taking the road. Both systems will be introduced in the new Nissan Fuga, which is set for release in Japan this fall.
