Nissan Qazana Concept: first teaser released

Nissan has released the initial photo of its latest Qazana concept, a small SUV crossover model set to be introduced next month at the Geneva Motor Show. Although the image doesn't show much detail, the overstated styling of the flared arches suggests that it will have a particularly SUV-style appearance. The Nissan Qazana is a 5-door concept car that leans toward the general direction of a new small crossover car that Nissan plans to try to build early in 2010.
The yet unnamed road version will reach full production at the end of 2010. The production model of the Qazana will replace the Micra at the Sunderland factory of Nissan where it will be manufactured together with the Qashqai, another Nissan SUV crossover. Qashqai has brought a high level of success for Nissan as it attracted customers of regular hatchbacks like the VW Golf and the Ford Focus with its semi-SUV appearance, hatchback practicality and raised driving position.
