Nissan Quest may skip a model year or two
Due to a change in its production venue, we will not be seeing a 2010 Nissan Quest. In fact, Nissan has said that its new minivan, known for being a kid-hauler, may skip a model year or two. Nissan’s Canton, Mississippi facility had built the 2009 Quest alongside the Titan pickup and Armada SUV, and the Infiniti QX56.
With the production changes, Titan and Armada production will remain put while Quest and QX assembly will be shifted to Japan. This frees up space in the Canton facility for a new commercial vehicle, which has been rumored to resemble the NV2500 concept. It can be recalled that Quest production was halted for one year in 2003. Nissan certainly doesn’t plan on leaving the van segment and we should expect an all-new Quest to roll off Japan’s facility in maybe a year’s time. There is speculation that the next Quest will resemble the 2007 Forum Concept.
