Nissan reveals new top-of-the-line version of the Juke—the Shiro

2012 Nissan Juke Shiro
Nissan introduces its latest top-of-the-line variant of the Juke. Dubbed as Shiro, which means white in Japanese, the vehicle replaces the successful Kuro limited edition (Kuro means black in Japanese). The Juke bearing the badge features a variety of white details to make it stand out from the lesser models in the lineup. Its interiors even have a selection of sophisticated white detailing. The white centre console is inspired from a motorcycle fuel tank's shape.
The door panels and window switch surrounds are in white as well. White stitching is evident in the leather wrapped steering wheel, the edges of the leather seats and the gear gaiter. The seats themselves have a double layer fabric with a white background color seen through the perforated leather facing. The interior also gains advantage from a leather-clad centre armrest with white stitching. This armrest offers additional storage. There are also illuminated chrome-plated sill protectors for the front doors as well as Juke-branded velour floor mats.
On the outside, the Shiro is identifiable by its door handles in satin silver finish, stylish dark-grey 17-inch alloy wheels and mirror caps with a B-pillar in gloss black finish. The Shiro is available in any of the colors being offered on the Juke models. Aside from those, it is also available in a unique hue -- the Nightshade, which is a classy deep purple color.
Shiro is built on the top-of-the-line Tekna grade with prices beginning at £17,695. It comes in three engine options -- a 117PS normally aspirated 1.6-litre petrol, the range-topping turbocharged direct injection petrol 1.6-litre DIG-T with 190PS, and a 110PS 1.5-litre dCi. A 4x4 variant and CVT automatics are also available. Deliveries are due to begin on March 1, 2012. The Shiro will be manufactured in Nissan's facility in Sunderland, just like all other Jukes.
