No IS-F Convertible for you, says Lexus

Speculations emerged that Lexus was coming out with a coupe version of the 2010 Lexus IS Convertible after the latter hit the Japanese market a month or so ago. Further talks has it that Lexus could be coming out with IS-F variants of both, to which Lexus denied saying that it has currently no intention of creating except the IS-F sedan. Although BMW's M3 Coupe and Convertible has a combined sale against the sedan 3:1, Lexus says that it is still undecided whether a drop top would be the thing for them. In a recent statement, Toyota says they are still determining how viable for them the convertible will be. Although the convertible seems to be out of Lexus' menu at present, the coupe version seems to be the clear addition to its model line in the near future. When the coupe comes out it will surely look like the IS-F sedan without the doors at the rear. [via insideline]
