On January 29, we will witness the unveiling of Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula One Team's 2010 challenger. That's only two days prior to the start of the official testing season in Valencia. While rivals have changed the official designation of their 2010 car, McLaren didn't. In fact, it is set to unveil the MP4-25 before the media in the UK, with the location to be announced within the next few days. Incidentally, McLaren made its announcement only a day after Ferrari confirmed that it will also showcase its 2010 challenger before the Valencia testing next month. Ferrari's 281 model will be displayed on January 28, 3 days after Petronas Mercedes GP shows its unit at the Mercedes-Benz museum in Unterturkheim. Red Bull Racing plans to skip the first three days of testing at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit so that its engineers have more time to work on the RB6 for the next season. The Jan. 29 car launch show is also significant to McLaren Mercedes because it will mark the first time that Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button will meet as McLaren drivers.
