To celebrate the BMW X5' tenth anniversary of production, a special edition version was launched. Of the 2,000 manufactured, 200 will be sold in the UK. Aptly dubbed the BMW X5 xDrive35d 10-Year Edition, the car is priced from GBP 53,075. It only comes in grey metallic paintwork with unique 20-inch Y-spoke light alloy wheels, matt aluminum exterior trim, matt aluminum roof rails and a panoramic glass sunroof. For its interiors, the car has comfort seats, anthracite headlining, nappa leather upholstery and BMW Individual piano black trim. You will also find special '10-Year' plaques fitted to the front doors, front door sill plates and on the dashboard. Since BMW began its sale of the X5 in the UK in 2000, 62,872 X5s have been sold out 95% of sales are of diesel-powered versions. The most popular specification is the M Sport, taking about 80% sales compared to SE. Starting September, BMW X5 and X6 will be available with the latest hard disc based BMW Professional Multimedia Navigation system, and a nine-channel amplifier with 825W and 16-speakers.
