Official: Fiat acquires Bertone

Italian Industry Minister Claudio Scajola approved today the sale of Bertone, well-known coachbuilder, to Fiat. As you may know already, Fiat boss Sergio Marchionne already announced that Bertone will be used to build niche vehicle, although he didn´t want to mention which type of vehicles he was talking about or to give any extra details. It appears that the Italian manufacturer will invest 150 million euros in the next thee years. For those who don´t know why Bertone ended up like this, we have to inform them that the Bertone family lost control of its coachbuilding back in February 2008, when the bankruptcy administrators took control over the company!
