Official: Jenson Button joins McLaren

After joining McLaren from Brawn GP, world champion Jenson Button is now seen in a picture posted on Twitter by his new team over the weekend. At McLaren‚ official website, Button had said that he wants to keep the number one on the front of his car for as long as possible.
Button, a McLaren driver for the first time, will start testing for the team in February. Button says however that it‚ ‚Äúa little bit too early‚Äù to start talking about the world championship. Instead, he wants to focus on the backbone of any title challenge, which he says, is built on ‚Äúgood preparation, hard word, focus and dedication.‚Äù Continued after the jump!
Button said that he would be working with the engineers at the team‚ Woking factory before the first Valencia test. He believes that the next 10 weeks could largely dictate the destiny of the 2010 world championship.
And so he thinks that it‚ crucial that the team starts testing very strongly. He said that he is ‚Äúmore motivated than ever‚Äù to work with the team and my engineers. He expressed high excitement to be part of one of the most famous names in Formula 1.
Of course, he has been with the same team for the past seven years but he considers the ‚Äúbig cultural change‚Äù to be something he‚ looking forward to. Meanwhile, Button‚ team mate Lewis Hamilton disclosed that he was looking forward to testing the McLaren MP4-25 and working with Button for the first time.
