The X-Bow by KTM is naturally extreme, but the tuning specialist MTM thinks it can still improve it. So, they tried their hand on the X-Bow's powerplant and brake system to make it more of a trackday star than it already is. The original X-Bow comes with a 240hp (179kW) 4-cylinder engine but it is installed on a totally lightweight chassis giving it an acceleration rate of 0-60mph in less than 4 seconds. Now, with MTM's 318hp (237kW) and 310lb-ft of torque, that sprint figure will further be improved.
The additional potency is courtesy of MTM's special conversion package the full details of which it has not yet revealed. Stopping power comes from a set of 4-piston Brembo calipers, 305mm rotors and 18 inch alloys.
For better grip MTM brings in Nokian Hakkapelliita-4 tires in 245/40. The X-Bow's maximum speed was boosted to 156mph (251km/h) which is quite enough in an open cockpit. For X-Bow owners with excess cash the MTM package is priced at 7,310 Euros ($9,711) or, with tax and installation, 64,236 Euros ($85,337).
