The FAB Design SLR Desire's most stunning feature would initially be its batmobile look-alike at the front together with the wide-ranging aerodynamic modifications both to the side and rear. The modified bodywork has been created from carbon fiber where some parts were left deliberately unpainted to provide observers a firsthand visual experience what is under the paint finish. Besides the fenders at the front and rear, it comes also with fresh side skirts equipped with unique recesses for the bespoke high-performing sports exhaust system with six exhaust pipes coming out of the side of the car just as they do in a regular SLR.
The appearance is rounded out by the totally revised front apron together with the reshaped hood, which follows the style of the new front face and the broader fenders. Underbody downforce is assisted at the rear by a totally revised rear panel that houses a gigantic air diffuser in collaboration with an enormous rear wing spoiler. FAB Design claims that this provides a considerable improvement to the driving dynamics of the car, and when combined with other improvements like an improved suspension system and sports tires, the SLR Desire becomes more agile than its standard equivalent.
Lastly, power under the hood has been improved from the standard 626hp of the standard SLR to 750 hp. Torque has also been increased from 780Nm to 1,080Nm. This consequently brings the maximum limited speed to 192mph (310km/h) and comes with a sprint rate from standstill to 62mph (100km/h) in just 3.6 seconds. The car has been limited to 15 units production run and although it was shown only at the Geneva Motor Show last month, each of the 15 production units already have their own happy and proud owners.
