Official: Porsche will not build hybrid versions of the 911 and Boxster

If you thought that you will get your hybrid Porsche 911 or Boxster in few years you'd better forget the idea! Porsche CEO Michael Macht, said that a sports car fitted with a petrol-electric powertrain it's not part of the plan. A hybrid Porsche will be only the Cayenne SUV but still there are some good news: the German manufacturer will add an energy regeneration braking system as well as a stop-start system. Also, the CEO confirmed the fact that Porsche is currently working on an all-electric model but this will go into production when it could reach the same performance level of a petrol model
