Few weeks ago we revealed you the fact that the Yeti compact SUV was confirmed by Skoda! Now the carmaker has announced the official introduction of its production Skoda Yeti next month at the Geneva Motor Show. It will come equipped with a FWD transmission, along with a more economical FWD option to contend with the likes of the Qashqai of Nissan and the Sedici of Fiat.
The Skoda, which first appeared last July at the London Auto Show, will be made on the VW Tiguan platform and will come with identical powerplant lineup. A new, low-emission Octavia will also be shown by Skoda at the Geneva event. The emission rate of the Skoda Octavia GreenLine is pegged at 116g/km of CO2 and return 64.2mpg due to a fresh 1.6-liter diesel derived from VW. It generates 105 hp and 184lb-ft of torque via a common-rail injection engine.
