Finally, after few teasers the new Opel Ampera was finally revealed! Built on the Chevrolet Volt platform, the new hybrid vehicle comes with an autonomy of 60 km in the electric mode with the help of the 16-kWh, lithium-ion battery while helped by an internal combustion engine (which uses E85 and gasoline) the range is extended to an impressive 500 km. The new vehicle which will be produced starting from 2011, will be capable to hit 100 km/h in just 9 seconds while the top speed will be limited to 161 km/h.
