Opel Insignia will not receive a V6 diesel engine

It seems that the fans of the Opel Insignia will be a little disappointed because the manufacturer decided that the vehicle will not receive a V6 diesel engine. But why? Autotelegraaf says that, Opel considers the current 2.0 CDTI engine, capable to develop 190 hp and 400 Nm of torque, more than enough for the new sedan. The new engine pushes the vehicle to 220 Km/h and has an estimated fuel consumption of 6.5 l/100 km (in their dreams... or on the highway at speeds close to 100 km/h). So, Opel fans, please don't be too disappointed!
