Opel will reveal its two latest vehicles at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 15-25, 2011. The company will also have the surprise debut of an experimental vehicle that will showcase Opel’s passion for driver-focused units. The two new cars, the Zafira Tourer and the Astra GTC, will each have their international debuts on Opel/Vauhall’s all-new show stand in Hall 8. Press conference is scheduled on September 13 at 9:45am. The new Zafira Tourer brings interior space and quality in the MPV sector to new levels, with its completely revamped Flex7 seating system, fine driving dynamics and innovative technologies that complement its range of new engines.
This vehicle model will be available in showrooms in the United Kingdom by 2012. On the other hand, the dashing design of the new Astra GTC has already won praises from both the public and the media. With its bespoke high-performance front suspension (HiPerStrut), this vehicle model has the dynamic performance to match its stunning looks. During the launch, an array of diesel and petrol engines with an output range of between 120PS and 180PS can be ordered before it becomes available in UK showrooms later this year.
At the forefront for this show, however, is the experimental car which focuses on a new interpretation of “driving fun.” Although details have not yet been revealed, the vehicle promises to stun the public and the media with its level of innovation. Aside from the three vehicle launches, the company will also be showcasing a series production Ampera, which is the first electric car in Europe that is perfect for daily use. This vehicle will soon be available in showrooms in Europe. The company’s fuel-efficient cars equipped with conventional powertrains will be also represented by a range of new ecoFLEX models from several model lineups.
