Opel unveils special models to mark its 150th anniversary

Opel is encouraging customers to participate in the 150th anniversary of the day that it was founded by Adam Opel in the Hessian town of Rüsselsheim in 1862. Opel will launch several anniversary editions with premium design and comfort features – the Corsa, Meriva, Astra and Insignia -- entitled “150 years Opel.” They get additional equipment with savings of as much as 2,100 euro. Those who want a more exclusive vehicle would like the jubilee trim “150 years Opel.”
The Corsa and Meriva jubilee editions are fitted with a set of 16 inch alloy wheels and at its rear, it has tinted Solar Protect heat insulation glazing. To enhance the celebratory mood, the cars have heated steering wheels with multi-functional keys, fog lamps and cruise control, an MP3-CD Radio, and an on-board computer. Moreover, the Corsa gets a chrome exhaust pipe as a standard feature, regardless of the engine type.
The other models’ available depends on the type of engine used. The “150 year Opel” Astra will be launched with 17-inch alloy wheels. Aside from the fog lamps, the Opel has the exact same features as the Corsa and the Meriva. These vehicles are more luxurious as they come with the “150 years of Opel” – an exclusive jubilee trim package. Furthermore, the Corsa and the Meriva have an adjustable panoramic roof or sunroof with separate air conditioning for the driver as well as the front passenger. Corsa customers may request a jubilee trim Plus package that has a parking assistant and a set of 17-inch alloy wheels. A special seating package is available for Astra owners.
