Pagani Huayra roadster version set to arrive in 2014

Pagani Huayra

There will be a roadster version of the Huayra, Horacio Pagani revealed in an interview with Autoblog Argentina. The open-top Huayra is expected to arrive in about three years. The regular version of the Huayra was displayed at the Geneva Motor Show. It’s also expected that by 2014, the 60 degree 12 cylinder turbocharged engine with a displacement of 5980 cubic centimeters will offer more power. The twin-turbocharged unit, which was developed by AMG, delivers 700hp at a low 5,000 rpm and a 811 pound-feet of torque at 3,500 rpm.

It’s believed that the roadster will feature the same rear-wheel drive configuration and single clutch seven-speed automated Xtrac gearbox that were seen on the hard-top.

The supercar will also be fitted with a pair of flaps integrated into the bodywork at the front and rear.

A computer will control these flaps and will adjust speed, yaw, lateral acceleration, steering angle and throttle position, in order to achieve optimal downforce.
