2009 Renault Megane Trophy

Renault's Megane Trophy has received many modifications in the past three years since the WSR was borne (World Series by Renault Championship) and today we are facing a new fresh look, with a special design based on the new Megane Coupe. In terms of performance the car suffered some changes at its V6 3.5-liter 24V powerplant of the Renault-Nissan Alliance which is now producing 360 hp.

The aerodynamic looks of the car is underlined by the front splitter channels airflow to the extractors and the rear downforce generated by the diffuser and wing. The new Trophy features a FIA-homologated sports prototype tubular chassis, a mid-rear V6 engine, a semiautomatic gearbox with steering wheel-mounted paddle shift, double wishbone suspension with adjustable dampers, 18-inch wheels and Michelin tires. With a higher output the car can now race in times similar of a Porsche GT3. The new kit will be soon ready for sale and will be possible to use it for upgrading standard versions.
