Pininfarina and Bollore will start working together in a special project meant to produce a serial line of an electric vehicle which aims for the mass market. Programmed to hit the market by the end of next year, the car promises to have such technical features and a very good looking and original styling that it will sure be a great attraction. The car will be developed in Turin and will be powered by Bollore proprietary LMP technology, making use of a combination of batteries and supercapacitors produced in different Bollore's plants. Named the Pininfarina B0, the new model will be a completely electric car with zero CO2 emissions and its batteries will be fitted in a special place designed for them under the car between its axles, lowering the centre of gravity. The electric car will be a four seats model, with four-door hatchback and automatic gearbox. Its top speed will be limited to 130km/h (80 mph) and will reach 100km/h (60mph) in just 6.3 sec. Also the range will be a good improvement among the electric cars: 250 km or 124 miles. The original element comes from the solar panels located on the roof and hood, which will help recharge the electric power reserve.
