2011 Lexus IS-F

Lexus gives in to pressure to comply with the Euro 5 emissions regulations and has modified the 5.0-liter V8 for its revised IS-F for 2011.

The updated flagship model will still have the same power at 417bhp. Like the current model, the IS-F is capable of sprinting from zero to 62mph in 4.8 seconds and of achieving a top speed of 168mph.

The tweaked model receives updated headlamps with LED daytime running lights. A new optional finish named ‘Starlight Black GF’ is also available. For its interior, the IS-F’s instrument panel design is redesigned. The positions of the rev-counter, speedometer and gearshift indicator were changed.

The sizes of the speedometer and rev-counter were unchanged; however, the updated version will have the rev-counter at the center of the instrument panel.

Additional revisions include new dark-silver fiber inserts, revised front seat design to improve driver support and instead of white stitching, blue is used for the leather upholstery.

The 2011 IS-F is set to debut at the Paris motor show this month and it is slated to start selling in Europe soon after.
