As you may know already, few weeks ago, we revealed you the fact that Audi is preparing the e-Tron Spyder Concept for the 2010 Paris Motor Show. Well, these are the first sketches with the new car and honestly to tell you, it looks amazing.
It appears that this is an evolution of the e-Tron Detroit Show car which was unveiled back in January, at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show. The e-Tron showed in Detroit was powered by two electric motors delivering a total output of 150 kW (204 hp) and 2,650 Nm (1954.54 lb-ft).
It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in just 5.9 seconds while the sprint from 60 to 120 km/h (37.28 - 74.56 mph) is achieved in just 5.1 seconds.
The car delivers a total range of up to 250 kilometers (155.34 miles). As you may know already, Audi revealed the first e-Tron Concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show, back in 2009 and that version was powered by four electric motors capable to deliver a total output of 313 hp.
The car could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.8 seconds and from 60 to 120 km/h (37.28 – 74.56 mph) in 4.1 seconds. Total range was 248 kilometers (almost 155 miles).
Regarding the new e-Tron Spyder, it appears that this car will carry Audi’s popular 3.0-liter V6 TDI engine capable to deliver around 250 hp delivered to the rear wheels and mated to a DSG double clutch gearbox. On the front wheels the car will carry two electric motors, which can transform the e-Tron Spyder in an all-electric vehicle for almost 50 km or 31 miles.
