The 2013 Renault Clio Estate is one of company’s major reveals on its stand at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. As expected, the new Clio 4 Estate features the same front end design as the hatchback but the rear end is completely new.
Set to hit the showrooms in the first quarter of 2013, the new Clio Estate features the same wheelbase as the hatchback although its dimensions increased: the rear overhang has been extended by 201 mm to 823 mm and the car has now an overall length of 4,262 mm.
Just like on the hatchback, the rear door handles are concealed. The rear flowing lines are accentuated by the integration of the B and C pillars which are flush with the surface of the glass, while the roof appears to float to emphasise the design’s overall elegance.
Just like the hatchback, the new Clio 4 Estate can be equipped with the new three-cylinder petrol turbo engine delivering 90 hp and 135 Nm of torque.
This engine ensures the driving enjoyment of a naturally aspirated 1.4-liter engine. A dCi 90 1.5-liter diesel engine is also available delivering 90 hp and 220 Nm of torque. Featuring Stop&Start, the 90hp 1.5 dCi with fixed geometry turbo has been transformed through the incorporation of the technological DNA from the Renault Energy dCi 110 engine.
