2014 Paris Motor Show: Honda Civic Type R II Concept looks so much better in person [Live Photos]

Earlier this week Honda unveiled its second version of the 2015 Civic Type R Concept but the manufacturer also brought its new vehicle at the 2014 Paris Motor Show and we must admit that its looks much better in person.

Developed and engineered for European drivers, the new Civic Type R Concept looks pretty impressive and comes with a stylish front bumper with a front lip spoiler, LED headlights, enlarged front and rear fenders, side sills a big carbon fiber rear spoiler and a new rear bumper featuring an air diffuser with integrated tailpipes.

Under the hood, there is a 2.0-liter i-VTEC petrol engine from the next-generation Earth Dreams Technology series that delivers 280 hp. The engine is bolted to a six-speed manual transmission and we don’t believe that Honda will offer an automatic gearbox on the production version as the Suehiro Hasshi, Large Project Leader for the Civic Type R at Honda R&D, this is the best option.

In addition, the Civic Type R will be offered with a ‘R’ button that improves engine responsiveness as well as the steering. The production version of the 2015 Civic Type R Concept will arrive next year and we will probably see it at the Geneva Motor Show.
