This is it folks, the 2015 Audi TT Roadster made its official debut ahead of 2014 Paris Motor Show, just like we told you. The design is not new as Audi already revealed the TT Coupe earlier this year. What’s new is the electrically actuated fabric top, which is available as standard in black, titanium gray and jive.
According to Audi, the fabric top arrives with parts made from magnesium, aluminum, steel as well as plastic and has a total weight of 39 kg (86 lb), which makes it 3 kg (6.6 lb) lighter than its predecessor. The vehicle can be transformed from a coupe to a roadster in just 10 seconds and when driving at speeds of up to 50 km/h or 31.1 mph.
11 exterior colours will be available for the new TT Roadster and two of these are completely new for Audi: nano gray and tango red.
For the interior, the TT Roadster is offered with black, rock gray and palomino brown, as well as rotor gray when in combination with the S line package. Just like the coupe, the interior features the digital instrument cluster that provides all information within the driver’s field of vision.
Pricing starts at 37,900 euros and in Germany, sales will begin with the Paris Motor Show in October 2014.
