As you may know already, the 2011 Audi A7 Sportback made its debut in July and will be revealed to the public in France, at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.
According to our friends at Autoblog, it appears that the sportier S7 Sportback will also come in the French capital. What is really interesting is that the new car will not carry the 5.2-liter V10 engine found on the S6 (which is no longer produced) and borrowed from the Lamborghini Gallardo.
Apaprently, the new S7 Sportback will receive a direct-injected 4.0-liter turbo (also expected to debut on the upcoming S8 and S6) mated to a seven-speed S Tronic gearbox (a six-speed manual gearbox could also find its way in the upcoming car).
Apparently, the new engine will be a refined version of the upcoming V8 plant which will be introduced on the 2011 Bentley Continental GT later in 2011. Regarding the power delivered by this engine, no details are available, but we expect over 450 hp and a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4 seconds.
Top speed, will be electronically limited to 155 mph or 250 km/h. Regarding its design, the upcoming S7 Sportback is expected to carry a completely new body kit consisting of a new front bumper with a more aggressive styling, enlarged fenders, new side sill, a rear trunk spoiler as well as a new rear bumper with integrated air diffuser and exhaust system.
