Audi TT Sportback Concept leaks ahead of Paris debut

Article by Christian Andrei, on September 24, 2014

Audi has just unveiled today the all-new 2015 TT Roadster and 2015 TTS Roadster models, but it appears that the German manufacturer has a big surprise for the 2014 Paris Motor Show: the TT Sportback Concept. Audi seems determined to build a third variant of the TT and if earlier this month we were sure that we will see a crossover version of the TT inspired by the TT Offroad Concept, we are not so sure anymore.

Why? Because a TT Sportback makes more sense as Mercedes-Benz sees some impressive sales for its CLA. A Sportback version of the TT would be a dynamic alternative to the Audi A3 Sedan as well as a better rival for the Mercedes-Benz CLA.

The TT Sportback Concept has a length of 4.47 meters, which means it is longer than the A3 Sedan, but also much wider.

Compared with the TT Coupe, the length increased by 29 cm, which translates into a trunk volume of up to 850 liters when the rear seats are folded. Under the hood, the concept car will feature a 2.0-liter TFSI petrol engine that delivers 400 hp. More details to be revealed next week!
