Infiniti revealed today the Infiniti Performance Line (IPL) G Cabrio Concept, a new car set to take the center stage at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. This car follows the first production Infiniti Performance Line variant, the G Coupe and comes in an impressive Malbeck Black finish (a pearlescent black paint with red hints) and a Monaco Red leather interior.
The concept can transform itself from a coupe to a cabrio in just 25 seconds and promises to enter production if the feedback received from Paris is positive.
The car is powered by a 3.7-litre V6 boasting 338 hp, with 18 more than the production version of the G Coupe, thanks to the new high-flow dual exhaust system. Also, it delivers 374 Nm of torque, with 14 more than the standard version. This engine can push the car to 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 6.0 seconds while the top speed achieved is over 270 km/h (167 mph).
The engine is mated to seven speed automatic transmission with magnesium paddle shifts. Regarding its design, the car features a new bumper section and blacked-out grille and headlight surrounds bring an aggressive new edge as well as 19-inch split-rim 7-spoke graphite-finish alloy wheels. Inside, the interior trim finishers are unique to the Paris concept.
