2011 Lotus Evora S

After we saw the leaked e-mail, Lotus unveiled today the Evora S and Evora IPS (Intelligent Precision Shift) option. As expected, the Evora S is more powerful and now the 3.5-liter V6 engine delivers 350 PS (standard version delivers 280 PS) and 400 Nm of torque (295 lb ft). The Evora S can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds (0-100 km/h in just 4.8 sec) and has a top speed of 172 mph (276 km/h). Apparently, the Evora S is considered the next level of Evora experience, featuring a sport pack as standard. The sport pack offers a 'sport' button which allows the driver to control throttle response and activate the exhaust by-pass valve.

Also, the button raises the rev limit and changes the dynamic stability control settings resulting in a total experience change. Regarding the Evora IPS (Intelligent Precision Shift), this introduces an automatic transmission mated to the 3.5-liter V6 engine delivering 280 PS and 350 Nm of torque (258 lb ft).

The Evora IPS can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.3 seconds (0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds) and has a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). "We were proud of the Evora but we're even prouder of the Evora S, I feel like it does the true Lotus experience justice. The really great thing is that as we move forward the standard Evora should also benefit from some of these developments." said Dany Bahar Lotus' Chief Executive Officer.
