A new option is being offered to owners of the Peugeot 3008 to allow them to remain connected while on the move. Owners can opt for a WiFi To Go device consisting of a portable Access Point/Router WiFi made by Telsey. The new system features an internal modem that enables the sharing of the Internet connection. So that owners can get a complete service, Peugeot has entered a deal with Fastweb.
The package includes a prepaid SIM for data transfer that permits a free transfer of 2 GB per month for a three-year period. This device is compact and weighs only 60 grams, making it comparable to a mobile phone. Users are able to connect their laptops, mobile phones, tablets and actually any device that has WiFi connectivity. The connection has a speed of 7,2 Mbps for downloads and 5,72 Mbs for uploads.
The small router can be powered by an integrated battery that allows four hours of browsing or 20 hours in stand-by mode. This device is also offered with special accessories that allow recharging through an USB port or from the car’s on-board 12V socket. The Telsey WebToGo system is offered as standard for the Outdoor equipment level. Those who have the other versions of the 3008 can get it for EUR400, which includes the traffic of 2GB per month for a period of three years.
