Even as the Fiat Punto Evo had been presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show and has had its pictures and details reported, we have yet to receive the full press release. To appease the enthusiasts’ curiosity, here are more details. The Punto Evo builds on the success of the Grande Punto, with new technological innovations and a terrific engine range.

Engine options include the next generation 1.3 Multijet and the new 1.4 Multiair — both Euro 5 compliant. Also available are twin-fuel LPG and methane versions. Additional features include the Start&Stop technology, seven airbags, Blue&Me entertainment system and “hill holder” hill start function among others. Many are saying that the Fiat Punto Evo can be a more affordable alternative to the Alfa MiTo. It will be available in Italy beginning mid-October. Photo gallery after the jump!
